I remember that from an early age I was motivated to do things that would help protect or improve the environment. It would bother me so much to see others littering the streets. Together with my father and sisters planted over 25 trees that grew many years later to large majestic trees to beautify streets, give shade and help clean the air around our neighborhood. Fast forward 17 years, I started a business for recycling office and printers paper waste to be reused as raw material to make other paper grades. After 28 years in the paper recycling business supplying tissue mills, I decided to expand the concept by identifying and marketing new unused off-spec discarded finished products, and finding new global homes so they could be use instead of ending up in a local landfill. Millions of off-spec products get discarded every year because they don’t comply with the manufacturing process product specifications or are unsold excess inventory.
